Why are incentives 'lacking' for small operators ? - 1
Why are incentives lacking for Small Business ?
I regularly hear from our Small Business Client's about the lack of support they receive from Government and Councils.
Lately, with escalating costs these complaints have reached a crescendo .
I am not denying the legitimacy of many of these issues ,
but we need to be aware that no matter how much we vent our discontent,
we are unlikely to change anything.
Instead we need to look for the opportunity in the midst of the problem.
Playing the Blame Card, no matter how justified,
will not increase our Cashflow this month.
I realise that when you are in the midst of a crisis or reversal of fortune,
it is extremely difficult to look for the Silver Lining.
A common thread is the issue of Big Business pushing out the Small Business operator.
When this happens it is time to create a niche market.
Nobody is going to listen to your problems,
except for us maybe,
so you may as well focus your energy into developing a positive niche.
Contact your local Community Radio
and make contact with other disaffected Local Businesses,
and work together for mutual benefit .
